GPS Tracking for Seniors
Have Peace Of Mind
Feel at ease knowing you can easily track your loved one’s location, 24/7
Lifeline with Wandering is the new service that is designed help you track your loved one’s general location when they leave home. You can have peace of mind knowing notifications and updates on your loved one’s whereabouts can be accessed on your smartphone at any time. It’s also a full personal response service with Philips Lifeline’s AutoAlert fall detection capability1 and two-way voice communication with our Response Centre.
How Lifeline with Wandering works
Easy-to-use mapping tool
Caregivers are notified via SMS text on their smartphone when their loved one leaves the range of the home communicator. A link to an online map displays the general location of their loved one using “breadcrumbs” displayed on the map which are updated approximately every 5 minutes 2, and indicates their general path of travel. The caregiver can continue monitoring their loved one’s location using the breadcrumbs, or to let Philips Lifeline’s 24/7 Response Centre know if help is needed. An SMS text is also sent to the Caregiver when the loved one has returned.
Six built-in locating technologies
Lifeline with Wandering uses the innovative technology behind Philips Lifeline’s most advanced personal response systems, including not just GPS but up to five additional locating technologies: satellite navigation, intelligent “breadcrumbs”, the home communicator, two-way voice communication and Wi-Fi.
A Location Tracker and Medical Alert in one
In addition to the location tracking feature, Lifeline with Wandering is a full personal response service which includes Philips Lifeline’s AutoAlert fall detection capability 1 and two-way voice communication with Philips Lifeline’s Response Centre. The Response Centre provides 24/7 monitoring, and Response Associates can keep caregivers in the loop if their loved one pushes their help button or a fall is detected. Response Associates can also call a family member, friend, neighbour or emergency services, so that your loved one can receive help quickly.
The Lifeline with Wandering device has been designed to maximize battery life. The button’s battery charge is conserved considerably when the wearer is at home, and can last up to 30 hours even when the wearer is outside of the home.3 Caregivers will also be notified by SMS text when the button’s charge reaches less than 40%, so the loved one can be reminded to recharge the button.4
“It’s a huge responsibility to look after someone with Alzheimer’s. But Lifeline with Wandering is so helpful. Using the GPS mapping feature and receiving SMS texts gives me real time information to know if my mother is wandering. The ability to monitor her is amazing and allows me to act quickly. I am very happy with the service.”
