“Words can barely express how much peace of mind this service has brought to me and my family since getting it. It has allowed me to live alone, in my own home, ever since my husband’s death years ago. A wonderful service.”

“The wireless service is perfect for someone like me who has a chronic illness. It lets me stay independent safely and it’s so wonderful not to have to worry about how I would get help if I have another unnoticed seizure.”

I was concerned about discharging an elderly patient because she was quite frail. I recommended a medical alert service and she finally agreed. Soon after, I learned she had fallen down some stairs, struck her head and lost consciousness. Fortunately, she was able to press her Help Button. An ambulance arrived quickly and she avoided further injury. This is such a simple apparatus but it changes the outcome of otherwise catastrophic events.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be able to push my help button in my garden and still get help if I am using the HomeSafe Standard landline system?

The range of our HomeSafe system with a landline communicator is roughly a 350-foot radius. A range test is part of our installation process, so you know where inside and around the home your help button will work from. If you cannot speak or our Response Associate cannot hear you, we will still contact your responders or emergency services as per the instructions in your CarePlan.

How big is the button worn on the wrist?

The Homesafe standard button is 1 1/2 inches long, 1 inch wide, 1/2 inch thick. 2 1/2 inches long, 1.1 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick

Is the pendant waterproof and safe to wear in the shower?

Yes. The HomeSafe Standard help button can be worn while bathing or showering.

Do I need to charge the pendant?

No. You do not need to charge your HomeSafe Standard help button.

What happens if I accidentally press the help button?

If you accidentally press your HomeSafe button, just let the Lifeline Personal Response Associate know that you accidentally pushed your button.

Will the HomeSafe system still work if my phone line goes down?

If you use the HomeSafe Standard with Landline service, the system will not work until your landline service is restored. The communicator will continue to dial Lifeline in regular intervals (for up to 24 hours).

If you are using the HomeSafe Standard with Cellular Service, landline outages do not impact its operation because it requires a third-party cellular network connection.

Can I upgrade to a system with fall detection later?

Yes, you can upgrade to Fall Detection at any point.

Can I add additional pendants for other household members?

Yes, up to eight (8) HomeSafe pendants can be added per household.

1. HomeSafe help buttons are waterproof with an IPX7 rating which means they can be submerged in up to one metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Button signal range may vary due to differing environmental factors.
