Lifeline offers dependable, convenient, and purpose-built technology. What does that mean to you? Just like how in the event of an emergency, you can get help quickly, we’re also available to monitor our equipment. It’s self-checking and notifies the Response Team if it detects a power failure or low battery.
The HomeSafe with Fall Detection help button is worn as a pendant with an adjustable neck cord. This small, discreet device includes the added protection of automatic fall detection.
When you press your Help Button in range of a Communicator, the Communicator dials our Response Team.
With a simple push of your Lifeline help button you’re connected to our Response Team.
Fall detection will automatically send out a call for help if a fall is detected and you are unable to press your button.
A caring Lifeline Response Associate will quickly access your personal profile and assess the situation.
Lifeline alerts your preferred contacts and will follow up to make sure help has arrived.
The range of our HomeSafe system with a landline communicator is roughly a 350-foot radius. A range test is part of our installation process, so you know where inside and around the home your help button will work from. If you cannot speak or our Response Associate cannot hear you, we will still contact your responders or emergency services as per the instructions in your CarePlan.
If the subscriber is responsive, we will speak to them through the 2-way speaker on the device and call their responders or emergency services as needed. If the subscriber is unresponsive, then we will try calling over the phone. If there is no answer on the phone, we will follow the protocol requested in the CarePlan. For some this may be to call emergency services first. For others, they may prefer to have their responders called instead.
The pendant is water-resistant and can be worn in the shower but is not designed to be submerged.
A working landline is required with the HomeSafe Standard with Landline service.
If you are using the HomeSafe Standard with Cellular Service, a landline is not necessary because it requires a connection to a third-party cellular network.
If you accidentally press your HomeSafe with Fall Detection button or it automatically triggers an alarm, just let the Lifeline Personal Response Associate know that it was a false alarm.
The system is designed to provide up to 30 hours of backup battery during a power outage.
It can. Just call us in advance of moving the device to another location. Then we can add the address and other pertinent details to your CarePlan, in case you need to get help at the new location. Always test the device from the new location to ensure it has been set-up properly.
