Why Betty White Wears Philips Lifeline

Why Betty White Wears Philips Lifeline

A few years ago, I decided to get a Philips Lifeline button. I know you can’t tell, but I’m almost 94. (You can tell? Never mind.)

I must admit, I am the luckiest 90-something around. Just in the last five years, I’ve won two Screen Actors Guild Awards for “Hot in Cleveland,” hosted a senior-empowering prank show called “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” and became the oldest person to host “Saturday Night Live.” And I’ve been able to keep supporting things that are important to me, like my work as an animal health activist.

What I am saying is that I am just like you. Regardless of my age or my career, I want to keep living life on my terms — in my own home and doing the things that are important to me.

When you get older, in the back of your mind, there is always a bit of worry. A little, “Oh, I’ve got to keep my balance. Oh, I don’t want to trip over something and I really don’t want to fall down.” I’m not talking negatively, but it’s in your mind, and you can’t help it.

Philips Lifeline Gives Me Peace of Mind

That’s why Philips Lifeline is so great. It gives you a sense of security. Whether there’s a medical emergency or I just need some help — you’re never truly alone with Philips Lifeline. It’s the peace of mind I need — and the protection my fans expect me to have. Best of all, the button is lightweight and discreet. People never know I’m wearing it.

I’m not a negative thinker, and I always try to accentuate the positive. I chose Philips Lifeline so I could continue living in my home and continue being me.

I’m not sure why someone would want to live without Philips Lifeline. It’s not about being old, it’s about being safe…and smart.

If I can do it, you can do it!
