Central Monitoring Station

The Central Monitoring Station (CMS) is comprised of components that provide key functions and central control of the CarePoint system. The CMS provides redundant features that help maintain system functionality, and maximize reliablity. Philips CarePoint software installed on the CMS PC allows caregivers and administrators to set up, monitor, and manage the CarePoint system.

Resident Voice Communication

CarePoint Voice Response Communicator

Based on Lifeline’s proven, senior-designed home communicators, the CarePoint Voice Response Communicator sets a new community voice response standard for resident safety and assessment. In the event of a resident alert, staff can dial the resident's room from any telephone and the unit will automatically answer the incoming call. Powerful speakerphone and high-gain microphone technology allows the caregiver to communicate with the resident from most anywhere in their apartment. Staff can then assess the situation, comfort the resident, and follow community response protocol accordingly. The CarePoint Voice Response Communicator can help to improve alert call response time, and improve operational efficiency.

Staff Communication

Pagers and Spectralink Wireless Telephones

Facilitate and optimize resident-to-staff and internal staff communications. Staff are kept informed of all Life Safety events via pager or Spectralink wireless telephones. The Wireless E-Call+Voice option allows for direct voice communication with residents, greatly improving resident comfort and assessment of need.

Resident Check-In

Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor

Assure resident safety and efficient staff operation with passive resident check-in. Central Monitoring Station checks for resident activity during specified period and notifies staff if resident in-active.

Check-In Button

Convenient, low maintenance resident check-in button. Staff notified if resident does not check-in by a specified time.

Smoke Detection

Wireless Smoke Detector

The Wireless Smoke Detector is a supervised, wireless, battery-powered photoelectric detector. It includes a built-in sounder, LED status indicator,and wireless transmitter.

Help Call Receivers

Wireless Receivers are installed throughout the community to create a resident safety back-bone which provides a bubble of protection for residents throughout the community.

Use as a stand-alone sensor or on devices that need to report to staff-worn pagers and record information at Central Monitoring Console. Control alarm schedules on devices using the easy-to-use Central Monitoring Console software. Allows staff to receive alerts when beyond the range of audible alarms.

Controlled Access and Wander Management

Enhanced Protection For Your Vulnerable Residents

The CarePoint resident safety system offers fully-integrated controlled access functionality, as well as wander management capability for those with cognitive impairment. Schedule the accessibility of community doors and selectively restrict access on a by-resident basis, all from a centralized monitoring station. Know what doors were accessed when, and have the peace of mind that certain doors cannot be accessed by residents or even staff when they shouldn’t be. Wander management is simple as well. Through complete integration, CarePoint leverages patented RoamAlert® technology. This allows resident access right prescription based on their level of cognitive ability or degree of memory loss.
